Expedition Shimla to Chanshal valley

On arriving in Shimla, a hotel will be arranged for your rest and recharging purposes and for getting ready to the upcoming expedition. We will meet you at hotel to initiate and give you an overview of the whole expedition program. You will be conceived with the idea of process and functioning on our part and upcoming events of journey.

EXPEDITION SHIMLA TO CHANSHAL VALLEY

Next morning you will depart from hotel to kick off the expedition.The track has been chosen to meet your desire and satisfy your hunger of adventure. You will travel on NH 5 starting form shimla to Kufri the first point of interest in the journey. Kufri is famous for yak riding inside eccentric and thick forests of devdar with heart stooping views. Continuing your journey you will pass Theog, Kothai and gumma which are some of the main attractions of the track providing their own beauty and meaning to the journey. Also the elevation will keep rising throughout the track from 2000 mtrs up to 3500 mtrs with 30 to 40 km of distance. These places are filled with intriguing scenic landscapes. Mainly Kaharapathar represents some of the most breath-catching portraits of mountains shrouded with thick Devdar forest. Beautiful streams cutting through these huge pieces of art called mountains.

After kharapathar you will be directed towards the link road connecting an astonishing place Giriganga. Your offloading skills will be on full test over this 9 km track. Reaching the Giriganga you will feel the eminence pleasure originating from the natural beauty of the place. As the name suggest this place is famous for an ancient story of sage spilling the water of the world famous and most sacred river Ganga on this place accidentally, and thus creating a stream and a small pond. Returning from the place don’t let your engine to throttle down as a long track towards Hatkoti will be in front of your windscreen. After travelling over 30 km you will reach Hatkoti famous for the Hatkoti temple. Till now, you will be completely exhausted and will require a place to recharge your batteries which will be provided to you at Rohru. A hotel will be arranged there for your night stay meeting all you basic requirements.

Next morning we have chosen another offloading track for you from Chargaon to chanshal valley. This road has an ascending gradient with loose mud and rocks. The valley is acquired with steep hills and slops which also represent the view to be seen. Topping the elevation of 3750 mtr you will be reached at the maximum height possible by a vehicle in these areas. Chanshal peak is the highest peak in the whole shimla district reaching heights of 4520 mts. at its top. The blazing winds reaching the velocity of 80 to 90 km per hours will shear through your skin and body.

Continuous the expedition to the nest stoppage Dodra kwar which will be 18 km ahead consuming at least 1 hours approximately. The place is inhabited by the most tribal villages in the Himachal state. At this point we hope you will be fully contented and appeased hence returning to Rohru at dusk shadowing the valley and showing you a version of unseen beauty you have been witnessing all day.

Next morning you will find your self engulfed inside another adventure sport around pabber river crossing and the ‘Gugad’ rope way filling fear, excitement, and joy at the same time. You expedition will take a last and final gear returning to shimla on the same day starting a 120 km Journey to the queen of hills.
