How to reach Kinnaur

By road: Road travel is the preferred choice of travel for most of the travellers when travelling to Kinnaur.There are few routes to use for the expedition of Kinnaur via NH5 roadway. The busses run from Delhi to Chandigarh almost everyday. Kinnaur is well connected by road passing through Chandigarh and Shimla while travelling from south or lower north. After reaching Sangla, you have to take another bus to Chitkul.
Train: tracks in upper Himachal are not developed yet so choosing a train journey will only take you so far.By train:It can be a little hectic to reach Kinnaur by train. The nearest main railway station to Kinnaur is in Kalka which is 365 km from Kinnaur. One can either reach Kalka by a train and hop on a bus or a cab to Kinnaur from there or can take a toy train to Shimla, which is a famous track. After reaching Shimla railway station though, you still have to take a cab or bus to Kinnaur. From Shimla, Kinnaur is 256.9 km which usually takes around 6 hours.
Flight: Another popular medium to reach far away destinations is taking a flight but as with railway tracks there aren’t many airports in upper Himachal area.By flight:Kinnaur don’t have any airports, To reach Kinnaur by flight, the nearest airport to Kinnaur is in Shimla (Jubberhatti). Jubberhatti is 267 km from Kinnaur, from there, take a cab to reach Kinnaur.
